| The law library was incorporated
January 28, 1895. It is located in the courthouse. By
statute each of Ohio's 88 counties is mandated to maintain a law library
for the use of the court and bar. The use of the library is
limited and it is not open to the public.
The mission of the library is to provide the
county bar with the most current and accurate legal information
available to promote the pursuit of justice.
The library has a staff of 2 part-time
employees. S. Mark Weller as secretary/treasurer of the bar
association serves as director. The director is responsible for
administrative matters. He has served in this capacity since 1988.
The librarian is Bridget Weller. She
is responsible for the daily operation of the library and has served as
a librarian since April 1, 1983.
The law library is a member of
The Ohio Association of Law Libraries. (ORALL)
